Sara started as a part-time kennel assistant in high school and has continued working with us after receiving her Animal Health Technician degree from Pierce College in 1999. She has the distinction of being our longest term employee! Her husband Dave enjoys the many culinary delights that Sara whips up and they both enjoy their motorcycle adventures. They share their home with two adopted cats; Rikki and Bobbie.
Jenny, a licensed technician, received her Animal Health Technician degree from Pierce College in 1993 and externed at the prestigious Animal Medical Center in New York City. She and her husband Michael enjoy living in Sumner with her two teenage sons, Riley and Matthew and their two cats, Ringo and Opie. Jen enjoys playing softball and keeps her technicians skills fierce by also working at a local emergency hospital.
Norine started working at Twin Lakes since January 2000 and received her Veterinary Technician License in 2001. Originally from Oahu, Norine started as a technician in Hawaii. Norine likes working with older animals and can work with more difficult pets.
Etsuko graduated from Pierce College with her Animal Health Technician degree in 2002 and worked at a hospital in Renton before coming to Twin Lakes in 2006. She lives in Seattle with her husband, her adorable daughter, and her handsome German Shepherd. Etsuko loves reading and walking/hiking with her dog!
Janell interned with our hospital Spring of 2014 and officially joined the team after receiving her Animal Health Technician degree from Pierce College. Before receiving her degree, Janell volunteered for several years at King County Animal Care and Control and still has a passion for working with homeless animals. A Washington native, Janell enjoys spending time outdoors, including camping with her family, running and hiking. She currently keeps company with her rescue dog Cody and corn snake Lacie.
Jamie joined TLVH in the fall of 2015. She started her career in the veterinary field in 2006 and has always had a passion for animals. Receiving her Veterinary Technician license in 2015, Jamie enjoys proactive education and wants to share this knowledge. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, music, and reading.
Shirley has been with us since 2011, first as a kennel assistant, then as a receptionist, and now as our newest nurse! She graduated Pierce College in 2016, receiving her Veterinary Technician license. She has two cats named Tiny and Shadow and a dog named Cash. In her free time you might find Shirley out shopping for makeup, shooting a great photo, or riding dirt bikes with her fiance.
Tracee has worked in the veterinary field since 1999. She has two cats at home, but loves on any animal she can get her hands on. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and going to Disneyland (but not always in that order). She loves working with animals and their human parents.
Char has been with us since 2008, first starting as a kennel assistant and now as a receptionist. Char graduated from UW Tacoma in June 2015 with a Bachelor degree in Psychology. She has 1 dog and 2 cats, some of which have been adopted from Twin Lakes as strays. Her hobbies include camping, riding dirt bikes and hanging out with her family and boyfriend.
Shannon is our newest receptionist. She has worked in the veterinary field since 2014, starting as a veterinary assistant and receptionist. Late in 2016, Shannon joined our team to share her enthusiasm and knowledge with our patients and staff. She has two fur critters at home; a happy and wily cattle dog mix named Diesel and a cuddly feline named Lamara. In her spare time, you could likely find Shannon with her boyfriend and Diesel out in the mountains off-roading, hiking, or camping.
Kaitlynn joined our staff in 2013 as an assistant. Some days you will see her working as a receptionist. In her off time she enjoys hiking, traveling and sight-seeing. She aspires to one day become an ultrasound technician and enjoys watching the many ultrasounds performed in our practice.
Marlene started here in October 2015 and graduated Decatur High School in June 2016. She plans on attending Pierce College to obtain her veterinary technician license in the near future. Marlene has three beautiful dogs and two wonderful cats. Marlene loves make-up and even collects it! She is also obsessed with bull dogs.
Taylor's journey at Twin Lakes Veterinary Hospital started in April of 2016. She is 21 years young and has had a total of 12 pets throughout her life. Her pride and joy is her dog Frank, a 14 year old lab/beagle mix. She believes the strongest relationships are between a pet and their owner.
Sharlene joined our staff in 2016 as an assistant. She will graduate from Decatur High School in June 2017. She plans on attending Pacific Lutheran University to major in politics and government on a pre-law track. In her time off, Sharlene enjoys playing with her German Shepherd mix Jake, and spending time with friends and family.
Briana joined our team in June of 2016. She is attending Federal Way High School and is soon to be a junior! She is hoping to attend UW in Seattle and get a degree in art. She wants to join the medical field to become a veterinary technician or a pediatric nurse. Briana loves working at TLVH saying, "it has been a great experience!"
Francisco became part of the Twin Lakes Veterinary Hospital staff in the fall of 2016. He is currently attending Federal Way High School with hopes of studying business at UW to obtain a degree in business in order to take over his father's business. Francisco loves to play soccer as well as video games in his spare time. He loves dogs and hopes to adopt a dog in the near future!
